New Year's Warm Up in Tahoe

New Year's Eve Dinner 2007

December 27, 2006 - January 3, 2007

We spent the 2007 New Year's celebration in Lake Tahoe. Believe it or not this was the first New Year's Eve celebration in probably 10-15 years that our kids wanted to spend New Year's Eve celebrating with us, their parents. It was quite an honor!

We spent a week up in Cornelian Bay, just south of Kings Beach about a block from the lake in a 5 bedroom house. Several of the kids friends joined us for the festivities and help make the event the best New Year's Eve celebration in a long time.

We practiced our celebrating at the cabin; performed a dress rehearsal at GarWoods on the Lake and then blew it out on the big night at Jakes on the Lake in Tahoe City.

J, Tracy's friend from San Diego, surprised us all at the dancing with a wig and beads and became a new member of the family that other family members did not recognize (maybe I should just speak for myself as I did not recognize him). It was a real good disguise.

Just about everyone had to try it on and it was amazing how personalities changed when wearing the wig, sunglasses and beads. People became almost instantly wild, passionate and crazy as if drugged. Needless to say it was quite a hit.

J also tried to give all of us guys dance lessons after taking away our women. They were waiting in line to dance with him, and I have to admit privately; he was pretty good.

Be sure to check out the pictures; the party animals are definitely alive and well!!!
